ELEMENT FRANKFURT AIRPORT HOTEL

Between park and central square, you will find Europe's first Element Hotel – a green hotel brand by Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Striking about the façade of the V-shaped building are the changing colour gradients with their iridescent highlights. The 133 brightly day-lit studios and studio suites with kitchenette are intended especially for long-term guests. Visitors will also find a restaurant, an espresso bar, and a modern gym on the premises. The hotel is operated by the Munich-based Bari Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG.

HOUSE OF LOGISTICS AND MOBILITY (HOLM)

The HOLM presents a platform for renowned scientists from international universities and seasoned experts from globally active enterprises to collaborate in interdisciplinary, cross-industry and application-oriented approach to the clusters logistics, mobility and aviation. <br/><br/> Located in one of the most accessible locations in Europe, the HOLM offers an grand auditorium for up to 530 people, several smaller auditoriums for up to 100 people each, co-working spaces and regular office units. It also features a ceiling-less gallery for up to 199 people and the conspicuous staircase sculpture X-Celerator, which may be used on each floor as meeting area for casual conversations and get-togethers.<br/><br/> The HOLM was set up by the start-up initiative “Gründungsinitiative Frankfurt HOLM.” While the State of Hesse holds a 86.5 % interest, the City of Frankfurt am Main owns a stake of 12.5 %. The remaining one-percent interest is held by HOLM (House of Logistics and Mobility, a non-profit organisation) itself.

HOYA Surgical Optics GmbH develops and sells intraocular lenses for eye implantation, along with the related accessories. These products are used for the surgical treatment of cataracts. The company's European arm, a subsidiary of HOYA Corporation based in Tokyo and founded in 1941, has had its headquarters in Frankfurt since 2003. HOYA is active in many areas relating to optics, and operates at the forefront of technological advance in the field, renowned both for its state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and its superior quality.

Imtech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG is a plant engineering firm active in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering. The range of activities includes planning, building, operating and maintaining energy, air conditioning, communications and security technology for stadiums, arenas, airports, industrial plants, and other structures. The company maintains more than 60 branch offices across Germany as well as in several Eastern European countries. At Gateway Gardens, Imtech Deutschland GmbH opened its head office for the Central Germany Region in spring of 2012. Designed by architect Alf Prasch, the building accommodates 500 staff on around 16,000 sqm of lettable area.

LSG SKY CHEFS

LSG Lufthansa Service Holding AG is the world's largest airline caterer and provider of in-flight services. This includes airline catering, in-flight equipment and associated logistics, in-flight retail, the management of on-board service, as well as related airport services. Since 2008, LSG Sky Chefs has produced meals for up to 77,000 air travellers daily at the most advanced catering plant in Europe. The plant is directly connected to the airport apron via a tunnel crossing the A3 motorway. Also on the premises are the “guestaurant” Horizonte and conference rooms for events of up to 300 attendees.

MEININGER HOTEL

In January 2012, Meininger Group opened the Meininger Hotel Frankfurt/Main Airport directly next to the central park of Gateway Gardens. The budget hotel meets a 3-star standard and a total of 168 room on seven floors. The rooms are equipped with iPod docking stations and soundproof windows, and may be fully darkened.

A screen installed in the breakfast rooms displays current departures and arrivals. Conference rooms are available for meetings and conference, and WiFi access is complimentary throughout the building. The hotel also features the Airliner Lounge, a guest kitchen, a bar, and a game zone. Parking is available against a fee out front or in the underground car park.

A few minutes' walk will take you from Meininger Hotel on Bessie-Coleman-Strasse to the airport's Terminal 2.

Gateway Gardens is one of the first locations in Europe for Marriott's latest international hotel brand, MOXY HOTELS. The hotel of roughly 300 rooms is operated by the Nordic Hospitality Group which developed the MOXY HOTELS brand together with Marriott. The budget design hotel brand MOXY is aimed at modern globetrotters, and pairs elegant contemporary design with innovation and high-tech features. The hotel is expected to open in 2015.

PARK INN

In June 2010, the internationally active Rezidor Hotel Group opened its Park Inn Frankfurt Airport Hotel. With 209 rooms, several conference rooms, one international restaurant, a gym area, and an underground car park, this hotel of the upper mid-market category offers overnight accommodations directly overlooking the central park.

Just in time for the opening, Grundstücksgesellschaft Gateway Gardens completed a direct footpath connecting the hotel to Terminal 2 of Frankfurt Airport. It takes guest who prefer to walk mere minutes to get to their gate.

The airline SunExpress moved its principal office to Gateway Gardens in May 2012, renting around 2,100 sqm at the Imtech building. SunExpress is a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, and the market leader not just for charter flights between Germany and Turkey, but also one of the largest operators of scheduled flights between Europe and Turkey.
