Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport has opened

Four-star business hotel upsizes overnight stay capacities in Frankfurt The Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport yesterday celebrates its inauguration in Frankfurt’s new Gateway Gardens quarter. The business hotel is situated in a prominent location at the west entrance, in Bessie-Coleman-Strasse 16; Frankfurt airport can be reached directly either on foot or with a shuttle bus.

Topping-out ceremony for the headquarters of the KION Group in Gateway Gardens

The new Gateway Gardens district at Frankfurt Airport continues to grow: with the topping-out ceremony, the new headquarters of the KION Group, an internationally operating mechanical engineering conglomerate, today celebrated an important milestone. The world’s leading vendor of fork-lift trucks, warehousing technology and automated delivery chain solutions is renting the entire building on a long-term tenancy. Completion and handing over to the tenant are scheduled for the third quarter of 2017.

A Hampton by Hilton for the Gateway Gardens district

Directly next to Frankfurt Airport, a new hotel will be built in the shape of the Hampton by Hilton in the Gateway Gardens district, Thea-Rasche-Strasse 4. Construction work is scheduled to begin in early 2017 and inauguration is planned for 2018. The building is being developed by Gross & Partner Grundstücksentwicklungsgesellschaft and OFB Projektentwicklung. With a floor space of 10,820 square meters, the hotel will, through mediation by Colliers International, be operated by Primestar Hospitality; this company has signed agreements with Hilton Multi Development to operate ten new hotels under the Hampton by Hilton brand in Germany.

Construction work begins for the first Hyatt Hotel in Frankfurt

On 19 April 2016, the Feuring Group, together with Bilfinger Hochbau GmbH, inaugurated the building site for the new Hyatt Place Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt Gateway Gardens. Completion of this brand’s first hotel in Germany is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. The hotel, with an area of around 19,000 square metres, will be built on a site measuring approximately 3,000 square metres in De-Saint-Exupéry-Strasse 4 in Frankfurt - Gateway Gardens, and will be located directly next to the “Gateway Garden” central park. The hotel has been designed by Hans Dieter Reichel of the architects Reichel + Stauth, Brunswick, and is set to receive LEED SiIver certificatio

KION Group to move into Gateway Gardens

The internationally active mechanical engineering group KION is the latest business to establish its headquarters in Gateway Gardens. In a joint project, Gross & Partner and OFB are responsible for building a new headquarters for the KION Group with a surface area of 7,800 square metres at the west entrance to Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt. The modern building designed by the Wiesbaden architects BGF+ will have seven floors and two below ground levels with an underground car park. The 250 KION employees are scheduled to move in the third quarter of 2017. The entire building will be on a long-term lease.

Union Investment secures Hyatt Place hotel in Gateway Gardens at Frankfurt Airport from Feuring Group

A Hyatt Place hotel, located at the Frankfurt Airport in Germany, is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2018. Union Investment acquired the approximately 3,006 sq m hotel site from seller, developer and lessee Europahotel Baufeld 11.3 GmbH & Co KG., which is part of the Feuring Group, via a forward purchase arrangement. The transaction was formally agreed on 14 March 2016. The completed hotel will be purchased by Union Investment for its open-ended retail real estate fund Unilmmo: Global. The Feuring Group will then operate the hotel under a lease for the next 30 years under the Hyatt Place brand. The parties agreed not to disclose financial details of the transaction.

New Holiday Inn in Frankfurt Gateway Gardens celebrates topping out ceremony

After just ten months of construction, the new Holiday Inn in Frankfurt’s Gateway Gardens district, located directly at the Frankfurt International Airport, celebrated its topping out ceremony yesterday. German Hotel Invest I GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture of the Münchner Grund Immobilien Bauträger GmbH – a subsidiary of UBM Development AG – and Munich Hotel Invest GmbH – Lambert Group, plans to open the hotel in the 4th quarter of 2016.

    Gold for Gateway Gardens

    New Frankfurt district obtains first DGNB Business District Certificate nationwide Gateway Gardens is the first estate to be certified with the DGNB Certificate for business districts by the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council. The DGNB auditors awarded the district at Frankfurt's Airport City the Gold certificate, the highest possible rating. This means that Frankfurt's youngest district assumes a pioneering role for Germany's real estate industry.

    A Boon for the Frankfurt Skyline

    Eight final architectural designs for four high-rise locations in Frankfurt's new district of Gateway Gardens were presented at the Expo Real trade fair in Munich on 06 October 2014. The visionary designs are the result of a two-stage urban planning design process that was initiated by the property company Grundstu?cksgesellschaft Gateway Gardens in February 2014. Among the altogether 16 international architectural firms who participated, eight were short-listed in May 2014 for the final round.

    Gateway Gardens to be Hooked up to Metro Railway System

    Neuer Frankfurter Stadtteil für 18.000 Menschen wird über S-Bahn angebunden. Der Finanzierungsvertrag für den Bau des S-Bahn-Anschlusses von Gateway Gardens wurde vor wenigen Tagen vom Land Hessen, der Stadt Frankfurt am Main, der Deutschen Bahn und dem Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) unterzeichnet. Damit ist die Anbindung des neuen Frankfurter Stadtteils für bis zu 18.000 Menschen an das S-Bahn- Streckennetz des Rhein-Main-Gebietes sowie die nationalen und internationalen Schienenverbindungen sichergestellt.
